Website Status Checker

Check if a website is up right now, with its status code and response time.

Enter a website address to check if it's up.
We check the site from our server on your behalf. Only the URL is sent; results are kept for 30 seconds and then discarded.

How to use

  1. Enter a domain such as example.com or a full URL. A bare domain uses https://.
  2. Click Check to get the verdict, HTTP status and response time.
  3. Click Copy result to copy the URL, status, response time, final URL and any redirects as text.

FAQ

Is the website down for everyone or just me?

This checks the site from our server, which is a single location, so it can't show whether the site is down for everyone. A site may block our server or its region and answer 403 or time out even if it works in your browser. If the verdict is Up, our server reached the site. If it is Down, our server could not.

Why does a 404 or 503 count as up?

The server responded, so it is reachable. A 404 or 503 gets an “Up, with an HTTP error” verdict rather than “Down.”

Why does Check again show the same result?

Results are cached for 30 seconds per URL. Check again uses that cached result within the same window; wait until it expires for a fresh check.

What does the response time measure?

It includes DNS lookup, connection setup, TLS and redirects. It is not the time your browser takes to load the full page; the check reads only the status and headers.

Can I monitor website uptime or see outage history?

This tool provides a one-time check, not ongoing monitoring, alerts or outage history.
