FAQ

What counts as an internal link?

A link is internal when it points to the same host as the page, ignoring a leading www. Enable Subdomains count as internal to treat blog.example.com and example.com as the same site.

How do I extract relative links from pasted HTML?

Set Base URL to a full URL such as https://example.com/blog/post. Relative links resolve against it, unless the HTML sets its own base href, which takes priority. Without either, they appear as Internal (Relative).

Why are some links missing from a page?

The tool reads HTML source, so links added later by JavaScript are not included. It also ignores links inside comments, scripts and templates, and URL mode cuts off pages larger than 5 MB.

Can I extract links from an entire website or check for broken links?

The tool analyzes one page at a time, not an entire website. It lists links but does not check whether their destinations work.

Is my HTML uploaded to a server?

Paste HTML runs in your browser without uploading the HTML. URL mode sends the page URL to our server to fetch the page; the fetched page is not cached or stored.
