- Under Unit, choose Paragraphs, Sentences or Words.
- Enter a whole number in Quantity; the text updates automatically.
- For Paragraphs, set Paragraph size to Short, Medium or Long.
- Uncheck Start with “Lorem ipsum…” if you don’t want the classic opening.
- Click Copy to copy the generated text, or Download to save it as a .txt file. Click Regenerate for a different variation of the same length.

FAQ
What is Lorem Ipsum? Does it mean anything?
Lorem Ipsum is placeholder text for layouts and mockups. This generator combines Latin words from the standard Lorem Ipsum passage and Cicero’s writing at random, so the generated sentences have no meaning.
Can I generate exactly 300 or 500 characters?
You can’t set a character target. The tool generates by paragraphs, sentences or words, then shows a character count that includes spaces and line breaks.
How much placeholder text can I generate?
You can generate up to 50 paragraphs, 500 sentences or 5,000 words. The result contains exactly the number of units you request.
Can I get Lorem Ipsum as HTML or bullet points?
The output is plain text only, without HTML tags, lists or headings. Download saves it as a UTF-8 .txt file.
Is the text generated in my browser?
Text generation runs in your browser without a network request. Your options are saved in localStorage; on the production site, Google Analytics receives usage events with only the tool slug.
